Illustrator Problem!! Need Help!!

I would like type a chinese word in illustrator, but when I run Chinese Star 2.97, the tool bar icon buttom of illustrator will hide, it still got function, only cannot see the icon buttom. Why?

P3-450 on BX motherboard
Premedia 2 8mb AGP
128Mb PC100 SDRAM
Illustrator 8.0
Chinese Star 2.97

When I type the chinese word in illustrator with Chinese Star 2.97, it is symbol, Why? And which type of chinese program you use in illustrator???
 
First, what operating system are you using?
Try NJStar Communicator, it's smaller, better and easier to use than Chinese Star 2.97.

If you are using English version of both Windows and Adobe Illustrator you will likely have this problem.
 
I using win98se
Chinese Star 2.97 is more fonts.
And it is more pretty than other.
How can I slove my problem!!

they usually come with your software, they just aren't installed by default. I know my works suite 99 came with a few different ones.
 
NJStar is a good alternative. But when you try to type Chinese on the browser it tends to crash IE or Explorer. Bad compatibility.
 
So, which chinese software can let me type chinese word in Adobe Illustrator 8.0?

My impression was that you just need the fonts. BUT Maybe an decoder deciphers the fonts so it doesn't come as ascii symbols?

What is a good and free decoder to use?
