yeah, I wanted to print a blown up version of it and didn't want it to come out all pixelated. I figured at 300dpi, I could print at 11x8.5 without looking too bad?

It's going to look bad resampled no matter what.

You can't resample an image to make it "sharper" or be able to be "printed". You are going to get a "blurry" picture no matter how you do it. You need to find a higher resolution picture to be able to print a sharper picture at 11x8.5

yeah, I guess that's what I was looking for when I asked for it to be redrawn but vectorize is prob. the right word.

You need someone with some decent illustrator skills, they could do this in 30-60 minutes

Either use livetrace or get someone to vectorize it. This wouldn't be hard.

It looks pretty simple to vectorize. The way I was taught was in Corel Draw, the only hard thing may be to match the colors in the vectored one, but it wouldnt be that bad.

If you want to vectorize this and enlarge, then you should trace it yourself. Otherwise automatic pathing (create paths in photoshop) may be ok. You need to highlight areas, then covert to paths and export to illustrator. This method often needs cleaning up in AI. Something this easy would probably be best retraced in AI for perfectly clean lines that will magnify smoothly.

-1 for noone else mentioning the giant © in the middle of that image.

argh, yeah I just realized that right now ... first step is to remove the © from the original picture then throw it into the magic tool ..
