If you watch the images from your seat in front of the computer,
Mr.Angry is on the left, and Ms.Calm is on the right.
Get up from your seat, and move back about eight feet. They switch places!!
I believe this illusion was created by
Phillippe G. Schyns and Aude Oliva of the University of Glasgow.

This proves that we may not be seeing what's actually there, all the time!!

I do not know how they generated this fascinating image.
I believe no one else is able to generate anything similar in Photoshop.
I know it has something to do with "low-pass" and "high-pass" filters, but the details??

wth lol

I stood twelve feet back and they looked a little different (probably because my glasses are so smudged) but they did not switch places.

Hmm, didn't work for me.

You dont have to get up.. just tilt your head back in your seat... hehe or sit up straight and pull youself further from the screen.

It's the shadinhg of the face. If you look at the picture, while the faces' outlines may show an angry/calm face, their shading is shown on the opposite faces.
Kinda like the 'stroke' & 'fill' of a picture
If you've ever worked with vector graphics, you'd figure it out right away.😀

Yeah, thet "switched" Pretty neat concept. I assume it has something to do with level-of-detail at different viewing distances.
