Illuminated Keyboard for $99

Looks cool, thats about the only way it'll justify the price. I sure hope there is a way to turn the light off cause it could get annoying real quick.

Wei2cool -- good find, most interesting.

The next time you go to the site look up, - the "Sweepstakes" link gives an immediate 10% discount for filling out a very short survey.

Enjoy.

===> EDIT: Ground Shipping @ $9.95 is the only option and they want 3-6 weeks for delivery. This must be a brand new outfit.

Yeah I know $110 and you have to wait a month and a half to get it. It's hard to see a lot of people around here biting on this bro.

I entered the sweeps =) I wouldnt mind winning one of the keyboards AND 3 PC games. I mean, how many people could possibly enter the sweeps? I doubt more than 1000 people have even been to their website!

That's pretty cool, but I've seen a standark keyboard modded with flexible neon tubing underneath the keys and it looked great as well. Not to mention the cost being significantly lower.

But, most of the modded keyboards illuminate the area between the keys, not the keys themselves.

Must.........not........spend........$100.......on..........another.......toy.

It looks cool, but who needs an illuminated keyboard? All of my keyboards sit right in front of my monitors and the light from my monitors provide plenty of light for my keyboard. Besides.. I know how to type, so I don't even look at the keyboard most of the time.

It does look cool though. Kind of like a riced out Civic. 😉

it's for those who have windowed cases with blue neon lights, and blue led antec case fans. however, i'm not one of those people. all i have is a blue power led in front.

Blue! Fancy 😀

I've actually wondered when they are going to put lighted keyboards in laptops.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember seeing IBM laptops being advertised as having a lighted keyboard, not sure though.

IBM had a small LED mounted above the LCD panel that illuminated the keyboard from the top. Kinda like holding a flashlight over the keyboard.

boooooo

Reminds me of one of those roll-up keyboards, but put into a frame and w/light underneath.

I prefer the rapid response IBM, I can't believe how underrated these keyboards are🙂 IBM rules at making them! And they're cheap, to boot! ... I meant to quote, this looks like crap now😱

Prices on backlit industrial keyboards? You don't wanna know...

Backlit keyboards on laptops? You really don't want to know. (Look up the Panasonic Toughbook).

And some of the previous comments were dead-on. You don't want to be typing more than a few sentences with the current crop of illuminated keyboards; every one I've seen uses membrane-type keys. Someone who offers up a cheap desktop keyboard with standard keys and non-obtrusive backlighting has got a winner.

Personally I would pay up to $50 for a good quality llluminated keyboard. Its not too hard for Micorsoft or Logitech to profit from making these keyboards considering they now offer wireless keyboards at that price range today. I can see a strong market demand here. I myself like to turn my environment light low working in front of the computer, that keeps me focus on the screen, and my eyes feel relaxed too. An illuminated keyboard is a great help for me.
