the whole time ...

A friend of mine was asking me if I wanted to go to this game. He said it would be "a good game". I told him that there would be no point in going since OSU's basketball team was lame, and would probably get owned. I guess he was right. :shocked:

I do not think you realize the differences in mindsets entering the game for those two teams. OSU was aboslutely JACKED about this game, for it was their senior night and the were playing in front of a home crowd and they knew they would not be going into the NCAA tourney so it was their championship game. Illinois only loses a perfect season if they don't win. They still have a no. 1 seed locked and they still have the Big Ten regular season championship locked. Every piece is still in place.

That late three was just the icing on the cake of beating the illini 😛. The buckeyes went on an 8-2 run to end the game. Of course the Illini weren't shooting well the whole game. They finished up with 38% shooting, and I think their season avg. was right at 50%.

You're right, but the same kind of mindsets can still exist in the 1st, 2nd and even the 3rd round of the NCAA tournament. They better not go into the NCAA tourney thinking they have it in the bag.
 
FINALLY is all i can say....illini were never that great...i mean look at there schedule and who they played and how much they won by....it was never that great of an advantage and it was bound to happen they would loose...good for ohio coming out and giving it their all today. This shows why the illini wont make it through the brackets...i say they get to the elite 8 but thats about it...
 
I heard the neighbor apartment start flipping out screaming WOOOHOOOO for like 2 minutes straight. I was like, hmmm... I wonder if Ohio State won? I turned on the game, and sure enough, they won. 🙂 (I live in Columbus)

the game was sweet and it should help illnois in the tourny...they know that they gotta bring it everygame if they wanna win it all..now they have the taste of defeat and it doesn't taste good 😛
