In the Book of Mormon there was a group of people called the Jeradites that came to the American Continent after the fall of the Tower of Babel. Jared and his brother were suppose to have been at the Tower of Babel when God Confused the people by giving them different languages. These people were suppose to have killed each other completely.

Then Later a break-off of the Jews came to the Americas around 600 BC when Jerusalem Fell.

So this could mean all of the Indians are just tranplanted Jews and the settlers from Europe were all anti-semetic.

I know I am just being rediculous and this is totally absurd. I dont mean to offend anyone inparticular. However, people in politics tend to do this same exact thing and they think it is perfectly justifiable.

This all leads back to the argument of where did the American Natives come from?

Maybe the people in Alaska were just Russians or some chinese that walked accross the ice. Maybe the people in China who were reported to have built ships over 400 feet long were the people that transplanted Chinese and others around the world. Where did these American Indians (Native Americans) come from in the first place. The Origin of the Races on the earth is such an interesting topic.

Exactly...how many cultures, societies and nations have been trampled under foot over the centuries? When the first tribe of primitive man encountered another tribe competing for the same resources, the dynamic was set in motion.

The only thing that makes America unique is that such behavior seems contrary to our values as a nation...slavery, Manifest Destiny and imperialism were not shining moments in American history...then again, America certainly did invent the concept of persecution and elimination of indigenous people...the Europeans were far more ruthless and aggressive in such behavior, as were the Romans, Persians, ancient Greeks and barbarian hordes of Eurasia.

Even the native tribes we conquered in turn exhibited similar behavior against rival tribes.

I've actually read much of that. It would seem that the Native Americans anthropologically are related to both the modern and historical peoples found in Japan. The natives of the Japanese Islands look caucasion.

Genocide? I don't think colonizing = genocide. I'd like to see your sources that say that American settlers set out to exterminate the Native American population of America.

And if you're talking about wars, don't bother. The Native American groups fought amongst each other all of the time. It wasn't exactly peaceful on the plains.

But genocide was still the end result. I could say the Europeans were just as brtual with their wars.

Actually the Iroquois Confederacy was and still is considered a sovereign nation. The Iroquois Confederacy was actually planning on taking the midwest with an army over 100K strong. It's great for you I guess. As a member of the upper middle class you get to enjoy lower-priced goods and services at the expense of Americans who are in the lower classes. If you don't want to pay Americans for their labor (paying them third world wages), yet want the benefits of their labor, why not just be more honest and enslave them?

Of course, if you're not wealthy, you might find yourself on the short end of the stick too when your knowledge-based job is sent off to India or given to an H-1B or L-1. Perhaps you'll even be blackmailed into training your replacement.

My only regret is that we didn't kill them all and completely take over the land. We conqueured a "nation" (or several nations, as it were) and let a lot of them live. In retrospect, if we would have simply taken everything and left no one living, then we wouldn't be having this argument and no one would be around to b!tch that we took their land. Now my tax dollars go to support them, give them free medical care, etc. It is BS.

You think that only the europeans contributed to science, math and society? Where is your motherboard/video card made? hmm let me guess, taiwan/china? what bout powersupply? china. Who makes P4 chips? israel. Who is the leader in LCD monitor technology? Korea. What about pc memory? korea. Who are the programmers that make vid games? a lot of them are japanese/asian. Would Bill Gates be able to become rich if he didn't have Indians (the asian india) to invent advanced math formulas/equations? Maybe europe is good at conquering territories, but so probably are many asian countries, like japan/china. Heck, mongols almost conquered the whole eurasian continent.
And advances in medicines came from all over the world. I wouldnt want to be treated by the "advanced" medicine of 1600-1800 of europe in US, where to release the "bad disease" they let out the blood out of people with simple cold. Is USA a great country? no doubt. But you are ignoring all the contributions that so many people from around the world made to US. (Including sizeable exports to other countries). You only seem to think that america became great because of white people.
