I looked it back up, I was mixing up two numbers. High estimate is 113bn. Others have 85bn or 60bn. Even at 60bn, 8 year return is fine with me.
My favorite part is that you're responding to a post asking where the number came from, you looked it up again, but you still don't share the source of the data... which was literally the only question in the post you were quoting.

"estimates" FFS I'd like to see that "estimate"

Here's an article: https://news.vice.com/article/the-us-keeps-mistakenly-deporting-its-own-citizens

A couple of notes: looks like that report was in 2011, so who knows how much more in the last 5 years. Published by a researcher at Northwestern U. I have not read any of the research, and while globally have some qualifications in assessing research studies, I wouldn't really trust my ability to critique this kind.

Nonetheless, it is published from research from a reputable source. Even if the number is significantly off, the estimate to me credibly represents a magnitude of failure that is far beyond my comfort.

You seriously consider that article as being reputable research? A guy that's a convicted violent felon, but claims his maternal grandfather was a citizen?

I am not vouching for the veracity of the article as a whole. It was the first google result citing the source of the figure.

I believe this is the citation of value:
“U.S. Government Unlawfully Detaining and Deporting U.S. Citizens as Aliens,” University of Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law 18.3, pp. 606-720.

Hillary wants open borders, so there ya go.

Trump needs to hurry up and get that wall built.
But trump and his supporters have already back tracked on building a wall. I now its a wall someplaces, a fence in other areas and a line in the sand I have to others.

The cost to build the wall is close to $25 billion, and that dies not include maintenance. Another $600 to $800 hundred billion dollars to deport all the illegal aliens. That doesn't include the lost productivity that would be lost nor the added cost for paying workers more than what the illegal workers are getting paid.

Keeping them is probably a whole lot cheaper.

Social justice for foreign invaders is more important than some girl, especially if she is white. They need to be the minority apparently.
Let's look at all rapes, what are the odds if being raped by an illegal alien compared to an American citizen. How about by a pastor in a church. I would think that those odds are higher than an illegal alien.

Thank you!
At least with Trump we have a shot at our laws having teeth again. We might have a chance at repairing the flaws in the 14th, as well. The 14th amendment needs to be amended.
Get to work on that amendment process then. But until the 14th gets amended (which it won't), it is the law.
