Illegal Aliens get in-state University tuition in California....

The issue is the Fed and the States. The Feds acknowledge to the states that citizenship/immigration status is their domain, thus states allow illegals to use services/resources b/d they don't ask for proof of citizenship(only state residence).

And even if they know that someone is illegal, it's not their job to enforce since the Fed has notified states that it's under Fed domain.

Not sure why this is so difficult for people to understand. Arizona is the first state trying to enforce Fed immigration law and we're witnessing the battle over it between the Fed and the state.

They are just making sure they can graduate and be unemployed complaining about all of them border jumpers just like the rest of us! 😉

Pretty sure regulating immigration is in the Constitution.

Pretty sure you're dead wrong.

Nearly every immigration law passed has been a case study in state-sponsored racism.

The over-arching idea behind the USA is complete freedom. Idiots have done nothing but spoil that by fear-mongering ever since.

The damn Mexicans need to go back home. Yes the USA is about freedom, but the Mexicans have no stake in the nation and have done nothing for the benefits they steal.

I have a completely different take on this than the hive mentality displayed in this thread. They came here. Apparently, they've worked (they're going to pay for that tuition somehow, and they can NOT get any form of financial aid as an illegal) hard enough to be able to pay for that education; else their parents did. Sure, some of them may have worked under the table - that's their US citizen employer's fault, not their fault. And, many of them DID pay taxes by using a fake social security number.

Regardless, if they have the money now, they've apparently been working in this country. Now, they're willing to invest their money to better themselves. See one of the early posts in this thread about one immigrant who graduated with honors (but couldn't get a job.)

My suggestion: keep these people. Ship the people (US citizens & the lazy type of illegal immigrants) who are here and do nothing all day but collect welfare and food stamps over to Mexico. If Mexico doesn't want them, ship them in illegally.

I'm amazed that people wouldn't want productive people here. (except during this short term due to the present economy.)

Why should a child who was brought here when they were a baby by their parents be punished for their parents entering the US illegally?

Deporting undocumented aliens(children of illegal aliens who have done nothing wrong) would be a human rights violation and due process violation. Thats why they don't go around doing it. Its why the Supreme Court ruled in 1982 states had to provide public schooling for free to said children.

I can see your due process violation, maybe, but human rights violation? Since when is it a human right to live in this country? Is the US the only inhabitable country in the world?

This assumes that the parents would be deported along with the children, since they too are illegal.

They are not productive. They cost society many times more than they contribute.

yup...i posted in the other thread kinda related to this one last week that illegals cost this country $130B and they pay in $30B, so that leaves the remaining $100B to the US tax payers...

Who is "they" that you're referring to. Not all illegal aliens are unproductive. The unproductive ones - there's no way that they can afford the tuition. (There is ZERO financial aid for illegal aliens.) It's the productive ones that want to go to college. Let them. Let's keep them. And for every one we keep, how about we find an unproductive American and ship him/her to Mexico instead?

Am I free to shoot you if I feel like it?

Yes.

This is my point; in reality you are, so why not in law? You can shoot me, my brother can shoot you and your whole family, someone can shoot him. It would be like one huge personal global cold war, where everyone lives under constant threat of annihilation from everyone else and in perfect harmony.

I hope that sounds wacky to you, because I assure you regardless of laws, prisons, judges, cops, police, governments, militaries, security guards, armed guards, crossing guards, blade guard, etc. that is exactly how the world operates, and the rest is just a illusion so other people can exploit you, and we never have the harmony bit.

Until the entire globe is 100% free, I see living in the USA as a right anyone should have. Freedom should be given away. Those who argue otherwise have no conception of it. Easily the best part of this whole debate is that the most ignorant people claim to be the greatest patriots. You think this country is yours. Blow yourself up on next July 4th, or sooner. AMERICA IS FOR EVERYBODY!

A right anyone should have? If all the world's poor got to live in the US, the US would be a total shithole. You have the dirtiest, poorest, smelliest people coming over and we'll need to support them all. ALL of them!

You are clueless. What are you proud of, Social Security?

P.S. why don't you just say brown people? Your veil couldn't be more transparent.

I dont get how illegals even get to attend colleges. I had a couple friends in HS who were either illegal or were here on an extended tourist visa. I remember them being very stressed out their senior year because they couldn't attend colleges here w/o valid legal status. They ended up moving back to their home countries (India and Japan) after HS.

Thats because illegals are treated better by the American government at all levels, and generally have an easier time getting what they want without all the hassle.
Legal immigrants have to be accountable for every little thing they do.

The Pakistanis at my local 7-11 despise all the illegals in Manassas.

Japan WTF?

if I am a citizen of US and reside out of CA, when I go to college in CA, I will document myself as a illegal aliens?

Texas has allowed this since 2001. 8 other states followed suit, then CA.

Eventually every state will allow it.

As for it costs to states? Its been minimal in Texas. Its costs have averaged what Mack Brown costs to coach UT Football.

It's not a punishment for gawd's sake.. *rips hair out of his head*

Why do people use feelings as the primary argument?
