thought this might be interesting. anyone frequent a bar or restaurant so often that the waitress/bartender knows your "usual"? not just something you always get, but the server knows it. if so, what is it?

mine kinda sucks....i usually go to a coffee shop near school and study there. i usually get an espresso machiatto (espresso with a little milk foam). the girl who works there (who's also cute 😛) knows that as my usual drink.





*insert obvious sex/hooker sexual favor joke* (beat you to it 😉 )
 
Yep i do. Deep fried squid with spicy salt and chicken fried rice. Most of the orders i do are over the phone, and all i need to do is tell them my name and they know exactly what i want.
 
I do at my local deli.

buffalo chicken sandwich with mayo and tomatos (hold the lettuce and blue-cheese). only real variation is whether I get a 6" or 12" (if I'm on my way to work, 12", since the sandwich will be both lunch and dinner; 6" if I'm on my way home from work).
 
i go to the same restaurant every friday and before i even sit down in the bar area (beat the line wait) the bartender has a new castle ready and is ordering up my buffalo chicken sandwich on white.

and there are countless bars/microbrews where they bring out a beer/bottle of wine to me before i even get a chance to say anything. and my best friend's parents own a chinese restaurant and they know what i want as soon as i call in and says 'its me'. what can i say, i like comfortable zones. in fact, from thursday to saturday night a person who needed to find me could easily do so without talking to me beforehand.
 
Longhorn Steak House - 12oz Prime Rib w/ Cajun Spices. Replace salad for a cup of chili, no onions. 2 sides are a cup of cinnamon apples and a fully loaded baked potato.

EDIT: Oh, and Quiznos. Large Chicken Carbonara, No Mushrooms, a little extra Alfredo Sauce please. I then proceed to grab a bag of Kettle cooked chips and order a small soda.
 
There are a couple of places where I could probably get away with just saying "the usual" but I never do.
 
Eggroll House lunches.

Hot braised chicken. Extra spicy. No green peppers. Water to drink. As soon as I walk in she has the ticket ready and on it's way to the kitchen and my change ($.14, it's a $4.86 meal, and I always pay with a $5) is on the counter before I get there.

Too bad I don't live there any more. Egg Roll house was like a foundation of my diet.

No, but when I worked fast food I got a hold of the user's manual for the registers and added a button for "the Brian Special" to one of them. They're all too dumb to take it out, still.

It's kind of cool because now I'm a legened around there and all them want to be me. Actually, that's just kind of dumb.

what's a "brian special'?
 
the only usual place i hit is a chinese place, and i can walk in and they just hand me what i get now, which is either 2 buffet plates (one for me, and one for my bro) or a plate of scallion chicken with chicken fried rice....what they hand me depends on whether or not i called in before i left work.
 
I goto Chipotle they know I want a Chicken fajita burrito with everything, "no hot, no corn"

Spicy Chicken Sandwich with cheese, ketchup, pickle, light onion, lettuce and mustard, chili instead of the french fries and a fruit punch to drink.

You can see why I decided to make it much easier to do with one button 😉
