I'll admit...I'm stupid! ;) How do I find out average WU time on a PC?

How do I find out the average times on a PC running Seti Driver? I've looked in setilog.csv, but it appears that it gives me everything I need to know except for how long each WU took. Or am I overlooking it?

If you are having SetiDriver created a Setilog.csv, I would recommend downloading SetiWatch. There are other ways to get the time, but SetiWatch is convenient and will pull an average time together from all the WUs in the Setilog.

That is the easiest and most accurate way I know of. You can also see average WU times on the client page of SetiQueue but I don't trust those times as I have seen them be inaccurate before.

Downloaded it and I see the CPU time column, but it doesn't give me an average time. How do I find that?

Go to the Completed Work Units tab. On the left you should see a computer icon that says all locations and below it a folder that says something like Seti@Home. Click the folder and it will show all the units with the following information: date logged, Work Unit Name, CPU Time, % per hour, etc. Now click on all locations and that will give you an average CPU time of all work units complete by the machine

That's what I was missing - had to click on the all locations tab!

Average WU time on my new XP2000+ (1.67@1.84) is 3:15!

Think I'll drink a shot of Jager to celebrate! :Q

Are you overclocking? If so, what speed FSB do you have?

Or is it because I run it in Low Priority most of the time, rather than Normal or High?

hmmm I must be alone on this, but I run SetiHide...
Updates your avg on a timescale you dictate... not
as accurate as some others, but good for on-the-run
calc's

my sis's box:

AMD 1700+
ECS K7S6A
256 MB samsung ddr2700
eVga gf2mx200

with this setup I run s@h wu in sub-4 hours,
usually 3.5 -3.9 hours...

Sorry, but I just think this is :
1: an incredible jump from the 8+hrs my kt133 amd800 box takes; and
2: an unbelievable jump from the 7+hrs my dad's 1G box, ECS K7S5A 256Mb Crucial ddr2100

I have the FSB bus jacked to 145MHz but that is all. I have 512MB Crucial set to the fastest timings on this board. I just think these Dragon plus boards run fast

I run it at low priority too, I wouldn't recommend anything higher.

Patrón Anejo isn't like normal Tequila - it is smoooooth I love Shiner too btw
