You can pick up this monitor from iiyama for $399 refurbished. I am not sure if its a good deal or what, but it sounds like a good 1 to me. Let me know if I am wrong.

Well, I paid $600 and change for a new one, shipped. So depending on the shipping charges, it's not a bad deal. BTW: the Pro 450 is one of the nicest monitor I've ever laid my eyes on.

iiyama's shipping usually cost around $28 for "fex-ex ground", but they always end up ship via FedEX 2 days for $28.

I have ordered 4 of S900 for my wife's company, 1 of Pro 502AG for myself, 2 refurb for my friends.

I think this is pretty good deal, and I believe even the refurb still got 1 year warranty.

Image quality is really nice, that's why I always say..."I will take iiyama over Sony anytime!!!" :)

I own one, got it for $399 almost a year ago on an auction screwup I took advantage of. The first refurb they sent me was ok, a tiny bit blurry. So I called them after 3 months, they overnighted a form to me to pay the shipping to return it. So 6 days after I sent the monitor in, I got a new one. This one is flawless and is the best monitor I've ever seen. And they paid for my shipping. Excellent monitor, price, and customer service. You can't go wrong here.

I use a 19" Nokia Pro450 at work. Pretty nice, some text in Autocad is fuzzy, but I assume it's the graphics card.

I have the IIyama i90a. It is the best 19" Monitor I've ever seen... however, never seen their 450 version, but have read it's basically identical. Anywho, it only cost $450 at the time, but I believe it is $479 now. I don't like Refurbished stuff, so if you could get this monitor just a bit more, why not? But, if you don't care bout the shipping, guess that's a great deal. Hell, in my opinion, this monitor was one crazy deal. $450 isn't much for the greatest 19" monitor.

I'm with Time Keeper "IIyama before sony, anyday." HELL YEAH! Not a prob in the world for me, and I'm assuming there won't be.

G'luck

I think the VM 450 Pro is different than the i90a only in that it has USB hub and BNC, and was Iiyama's first 19" model based on the 'Mit 19" DiamondTron flat CRT.

To find out where you are coming from, are you one of those people who
like a top of the line Toshiba TV over Sony?

Not that I'm prejudice toward Sony...just because I own a 53" and a 27"XBR's, and a Multiscan 17SE2.:D

Just say, I am driving a E320 instead of LS400. And I don't need JD power associate tell me which car is more reliable.

Don't you think it also applied to iiyama been making non-consumer professional PC monitor since 1981?

I have 2 iiyama Vision Master Pro 450; they are very nice monitor's you will not regret if you buy one. $399 is a great deal for this monitor. I paid $640 apiece here locally in San Diego. iiyama has top-notch customer service.

I own a Mitsubishi DiamondTron Pro 710 and I agree, the DiamondTron tube is definitely superior to that of Sony's Trinitron. The colors are brighter, the images are clearer and the text is perfect. The only complaint I have is that there are TOO many ways to adjust your screen, if there weren't so many I thikn I'd have an easier time adjusting it. =)

divinemartyr, make sure you are using Mistubishi's usb monitor software to adjust the screen. It's alot easier using that rather than the controls on the monitor.

USB monitor software? you know this device does not have a USB connector or usb hub correct? If that's just an acronym for something that I'm unfamiliar with, can you provide me a link to where I can get the software? Thanks.

Iyama's customer service used to be good. I had to send my VisionMaster 450 in for repair recently and it was a nightmare. Even though my monitor's under warranty, I still had to pay shipping.

only 90 day warrantee on the refurb 450 PRo!!

i'm gonna take the risk anyways... it came out $408 after taxes and shipped to california.. i hope this doesnt break down on me after the warrantee

did anyone else order this monitor? did they overcharge you on sales tax? they charged me slightly over 8.6%, but i'm in los angeles (8.25% sales tax).. even if they charged me sales tax on shipping, the numbers arent right either.. this sounds a little fishy

it's only $2 extra, so i'm not sure if it's worth calling in about...

Does anyone that owns the iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 also own (or previously owned) a KDS Avitron AV-195TF? I'm interested in how much better the iiyama is over the KDS....

Vision Master Pro 450
KDS AV-195TF

While I'm always looking for the best monitor, the fact that Iiyama is only offering a 90-day warranty on an item that's been discontinued (check the link above) has me concerned. So I wondering how Iiyama can provide product support on an item they're no longer making - other than sending you someone else's "problem" (ie. another refurb)....

The ones for sale for $349 are refurbs. if you have a problem with one, Iiyama is the manufacterer, so I assume they have a large supply, but I don't think your going to get a new one if your refurb. goes bad, you will get another refurb.
