iiyama i70a or samsung 700nf

ok, time to get a new monitor.. i'd like to keep it under $300 and i think i'd rather have a nice 17" aperature grille than a bigger shadow mask. so far i'm thinking about the iiyama i70a as well as the samsung 700nf but i havent found too many reviews by people who actually seem intelligent - and so i turn to you guys. any other monitor suggestions would be appreciated too.. thanks

They are both excellent monitors. I'd get the Samsung 700nf simply because I haven't seen or heard anything about the Iiyama being any better than the Samsung. They are both very good. I would think the Samsung would be cheaper but a quick check at a couple retailers, I can't find anyone that sells Iiyamas!
