IIS in XP?

I recently installed Windows XP and Office XP. Both are running fine and I'm glad I made the update. I just have one question, which was part of my reason to upgrade in the first place, and that is, is there an IIS feature for XP, like in 2000.

And if there is, could you lead me to a site that gives a tutorial on installing the IIS component and setting it up?

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> IIS

At least in XP Pro...wouldn't be so sure about Home.

There is in XP Professional, dunno about Home.

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> Select IIS -> Click next...

Once that's done, I _think_ you'll get an option in the control panel to set things up, or else it should be fairly obvious how to set things up. I removed them and use Apache as my webserver, and BulletProof as my FTP server when I need it up.

its there, you know if your only starting a website just for you and some friends you should put the www service on a strange port so you cant get nmdia or any other stupid s!hit like it.

Hehe. That's why I installed Apache. I'm usually kinda slow in finding out about the IIS trojans, so just to be safe I went w/ Apache that just laughs at the hundreds of requests that I get (still getting craploads of them in my logs!)
