IIS fails to start?

I've been running a small personal website and FTP from Win2kS IIS for about a year now, and just moved to a new location. For the first time, I am directly connected to a cable modem (previously on campus-wide LAN). Now, when I attempt to start my web or FTP services from IIS, it attempts for about 20 seconds before giving me the error message:
"The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

Any ideas why this might be happening? I can't imagine that the cable modem setup would have anything to do with this, but I mention it because, as far as I can think, it is the only real change to my computer/network setup since I've started having this problem.

Thanks alot for any thoughts.

Not sure what you mean by a personal website ? I am assuming everyone on the internet was able to access it. Are you able to connect to the internet from this box ? I am not an IIS expert but I do believe that you will need to reconfigure it to be able to listen on a different IP address, which for sure must have changed, since you moved locations.

Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Internet Info Services -> check default web site (is it running) ?
If not start it, if yes, check its properties, check web site tab, check to see the IP address field if it is tied to a particular IP. If so, you may need to remove or update that static IP ??

Anyone else with any tips ?

sorry, I guess I should've given more detail...
it is a 'public' website in that everyone can access it (or should be able to access).
I have also updated the IP addy since the move, and it is when I attempt to start the website that I get that particular error message.
Thanks for your reply, though.

Well a month and a half later, still no IIS. :(

Too busy to work on it for the most part, but someone mentioned to me that I might not have enough disk space available in my Win2k partition for it to run. This may very well be the case, as I am showing:
29MB or less than 1% free!

Does anyone know of an actual stated amount (whether in MB or %) that is required to run IIS? I have not found any such info with a cursory search on the topic.

I have begun to delete some of the files over 1MB on the partition, but what's killing me is two files in particular:

san_test.tmp (hidden; 392MB!) --> I *cannot* delete/move/compress/do anything to this file under admin ( I have actually posted about this issue before on AT with no luck)

MEMORY.DMP (196MB) --> I have not tried to alter this file at all yet, as I am unsure what it is or it's importance???

Well, any info is greatly appreciated!
