Well I just got back from the grocery store--downed limbs EVERYWHERE on the road. A lot of people were buying batteries, flashlights and candles. Over a million people without power in the Carolinas. We got lucky (though Internet was down for a bit earlier.)

woah, the guv'na just declared a State of Emergency for Charlotte/Meck. County (actually it was the mayor, but I just felt like saying Guv'na!!!) I'm one of the few people that actually has powa, and cable/cable internet too!
