I have this Athlon 500 with 128MB of ram that I've been using as a router, nat box for quite some time now, Just recently i upgraded to Redhat 7.2 (i know 7.3 and 8 are out, However Ive seen KDE3 and how it runs on boxes with only 128mb of ram) (also I downloaded the ISOs quite some time ago and i dont feel like downloading everything again)

So far i've installed many of the packages on the cds as well as
Nmap
BitchX
Oidentd
VNC

and i've got all my Iptables set up for masq and port forwarding, as well as my samba shares ....

This box has a Geforce DDR, and the Drivers are installed for it,
This box currently has no sound card in it.

What cool toys should i install? ... just for something to mess with ...... or something productive ...

I dont care to install Wine or any sort of emulators since I have a couple windows boxes already.

Anybody got any Favorite GUI ftp clients? Gftp kinda sucks, and I dont mind CLI ftping, however it can be quite tedious to download that way

Im thinking of installing apache and postgresql, However i dont really care to run a web page at this momment, and I havent figured out how to make them play together yet.

eventually I'll get around to installing openoffice, however Koffice is just fine for what i do

any cool suggestions well be considered

Thanks

EDIT:
i use NCFTP sometimes ... its pretty nice
as far as IRC clients are concerned, Ive been using Bitchx for close to 2 years, and now that im used to it, I cant stand other clients. I have used Xchat before, and i dont like that it has multiple windows and that you have to use the mouse for a lot of things.

ncftp is a great CLI ftp with tab completion and background down/uploading.

It's a bit easier to give advice if you let us know what you considder fun ;)

That is, what do you wanna do with the box?

Oh and for the love of... whoever, install XChat or something, I just can't fathom why people like BitchX, sure if you need a command line IRC client, but aside from that I can't see the point.

I stopped using xchat when I read the docs for irssi. Even now I ssh into my OpenBSD box to use irssi on the command line instead of finding an irc program for my iBook or firing up X. Its just easy.
