I think all of us here at P&N know who the secretary of state is and follows politics more than seasonally. So your post seems to be directed to the wrong audience here.

Now if you want to find out ways to convince people not to vote for Bush who are already dead set in doing so...good luck and let me know how you did it .

Shut up dumbass, we have to put up with the likes of crimson and that other parrot guy. Let him have his say.

We have to put up with the RBH(which this guy seems to eager to be a part of), so we can have our say too. A spade is a spade. This guy posted a flame-bait thread, dumbass.

It's clear (or at least to me) that a lot of or nation's leadership are sortof holding their breaths that China's government will be strained into accepting democratic reform or go through some sort of major reform metamorphasis that will make it less of an economic threat... less able to manipulate export prices.. etc...

If that doesen't happen... it might take more that the WTO to protect us from having even our service industries ravaged by chineese market pull.... but I'm getting at the edge of my expertise here... I'm not as brushed up on this as I used to be

Raise your hand if you remember an american spy plane doing an emergency landing in china and talk of "war" if things didint work out.... during THIS adminstration!

Funny, that's not what you said at all in your OP.

No, just racist homophobes :)

Aww, come on. :p My grandmother is neither racist nor a homophobe.

Hey... even Stuff magazine had a montage where they had a cardboard Bush and cardboard Kerry in a field, where the sheeps were flocking around Bush. Even Stuffs says you should vote Bush because the sheeps did. ;) hmmm... do you think it could be political satire?

From what I remember it was the Democrats hope that free trade with China will help ship American culture and its democratic ideas into China in hopes that it will help inflame the little democratic kindlings and consume the Chinese government in a great ball of Democratic will.

Stop screaming troll and adress the issue. Obviously, ignorance is a big problem with the right. Many of them think Saddam was behind 9/11 and still some don't seem to understand that there were no WMDs in Iraq. How can you argue with this kind of stubborn ignorance?

Let's stop the yelping and attempt to figure out how we can educate Republicans. My suggestion, help educate everyone and the Republicans will be brought up by the rising tide of education and knowledge.

Every time I ask someone why they want to vote for Bush they say one of the following:
1) Kerry isn't that great of a person
2) I don't think Bush has done that bad of a job
3) Something similar to 1 or 2

When I ask them to elaborate, you guessed it, they can't! And when I start saying... look, he's mis-handled his whole "war on terrorism" which has become more of a personal vendetta between him and the badguys of the universe, just moving from one target to the next, and forgetting about having a good cleanup plan.... what do they do? they get offended! They get defensive, and start attacking Kerry making arguements with the logical equivalence of "Kerry SUCKS cause I SAID SO!" I just don't get it... I mean, the same is displayed in the debates. Kerry makes a valid logical attack on Bush, and Bush just replies with something along the lines as "well, you can believe what he says, but he's a flip-flopper! You need a president that sticks to his beliefs...." *cough* even if they are poor beliefs? *cough*

Anyways... after watching the debates, and living in the US for the past 4 years... especially if you have family fighting overseas, I just dont see how you could possibly want to re-elect this guy.

Just my personal opinion and experience...

You are not off-base. You're absolutely correct. Ignorance is at the root of every Bush vote. Whether it's a failure to understand science, religion, or human behavior, conservatives are stubborn in their ignorance. Now if you have any suggestions on how to educate them...
Maybe a good start in education would be to begin with Infohawk himself. You could teach him that maligning and abusing the opposition constantly with juvenile retorts does nothing to win arguments or make people want to join your cause.

Yes, that'd be a mighty good start.

This is a forum, not a place to submit polysci papers. All caps typing is not formal... quotes aren't done inline and MLA does not apply. I am not sorry for not checking my spelling. The spelling was quite reasonable, the point got across and while I do not condone wanton spelling mistakes in daily life, I do find it amusing that the best flaw you can find in my mentaility is my refusal to give every little spelling error more time than they're worth.

Hehe.

Again you miss the point. If you are going to call people ignorant then you damn well better dot your i's and cross your t's properly. If not, it makes you appear to be the ignorant one and dilutes your already trollish OP even further.

Ignorance in one subject is not ignorance in another. I can't spell worth a shtz, but I can program an Omron PLC all day long (CsG - stay out! :p). Many out there can outspell me...but how many even know what I'm talking about on PLC's (again...CsG - go eat something! ;) ?

I hate the "Spell check" test from all sides!

aww, cmon... am I really that off base?
If you're going to call out a group of people as ignorant, it would probably help your cause to spell amongst properly in the thread title.

Wow...pointing out a typo. Good job.

*Edit* - Sorry. Late to the bandwagon. Btw...yes I get the point..wood-dee...

Erm...that's great. I'm sure there are plenty of talented people in here who can't spell decently.

However, that misses the point completely.

This thread is a real morass, and probably deservedly so, but I want to highlight one part of your post that I think is a really interesting observation, and worthy of consideration:

Whatever kind of damage even kerry's most liberal policies can do to this country in the next 4 years will not only be easily undone by the next rebublican administration, but will also save the United States from having its next 50 years of foreign policy shaped by Bush telling the world to F itself.

To me this is really at the heart of the problem with the present administration, and I agree completely that we are burning bridges with our allies that may take decades or longer to rebuild, for reasons that do not benefit the average American by any stretch of the imagination.

New this fall on ABC: PNGP Red! Watch the new sub-1000 post recruits hit the streets of P&N in search of typos and spelling errors . Watch as they slug through their first month of claiming they can't understand someone because one letter is off! It's gonna be tough for the new recruits, but there's a surprise! One of them is actually a veteran banned from the department. But now he's assumed a new identity and is looking to bring back his vigilantiasm with a vengeance! ...

Heavy on the unrestrained rant but I hear ya, acemcmac.

This is one more real conservative who thinks the Republican party needs a wake up call back to real conservatism, starting with Bush's loss in 2004.
