i was waiting for someone to post a topic of this.

There are rumours that it was a mistake... that the sources of that list go from press to blogs, so it may as well be false...
or the rumour that it is a mistake is in fact to confuse us...

Yep, Valve released a statement that they will show no games at GamesCom, and IGN updated their article.

Reminds me of Carmack's recent announcement at Quakecon that they've decided not to give out information about future games. They had so many issues with every little kid online speculating wildly about Rage and then the trolls and website like Kotaku moving in for the kill they've just decided it's best to say nothing at all when you know everything you say is going to be twisted completely out of context. Sad to hear from one of the industry's leading figures known for being willing to discuss his work publicly in great detail, but a modern reality of online life.

That was years ago. I've lost interest.

Pretty much sums it up. Thwy never finished the story and if they did I don't think it would even have meaning at this point or at the least would not feel as grand as it would have if it released say 3 years ago.

Yep. Crytek manages to pump out extended play games (full games, not 'episodes') practically every other year, not to mention the other titles they are working on.
