Soooo many good games on the DC...

Crazy Taxi, Record of Lodoss War, Skies of Arcadia, Armada, Fur Fighters, Toy Commander, Soul Calibur, DOA2, HotD2, NFL2k, PS Online, etc, etc, etc.

Indeed. Dreamcast was quite an optimal system. I am surprised to see that no one has mentioned Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament on the DC. For those of us who did not have the pcs to play those games back then, the DC offered online multiplayer in those games, mouse and keyboard support, and four player split screen support. My friends and I had never had so much fun as those four player UT and Q3 matches. Quite entertaining.

I've never played a DC even once, but there was a used one at my local Salvation Army store a few months ago for like $10 bucks or so. I guess I should be kicking myself for not picking it up.

3. The Dreamcast didn't fail, we failed the Dreamcast

truly.

Eh...No. Dreamcast most likely failed due to having virtually no anti-copy protection. It was so easy to download and play games on the dreamcast, no modchip or anything special needed. So i don't think 'we failed the dreamcast', they kinda did that to themselves.

That said, time to dig out some DC games 😀

The only time I saw a Dreamcast game pirated was after the games dissapeared from stores. And now every Dreamcast owner has a complete collection, filled out by burned copies.
