Your honor I had a an empty pill bottle and a baggie that had my lunch in it before I ate it. I don't know how that stuff got in there. Maybe the restaurant manager was mad because we forgot to pay for our meal and put it in there himself.

Your honor, there is no evidence at all that I put that stuff in there, or even knew it was in there. Once I left anyone who took my purse could have put it in there. In fact you did not find me with illegal drugs. You found the restaurant manager. Since he was found in possession of illegal drugs I guess you are going to arrest him?

It is not a crime to have your fingerprints on something that someone else found and could have done anything they wanted with. What exactly is the charge? It can't be possession of drugs. You've been watching too much CSI if you think they're going to come in and dust for prints on a baggie with a little bit of pot in it. Any decent lawyer would get the charges thrown out on the allegation that the manager was attempting revenge for them not paying. "Why would she return, in front of the police officers, if she had drugs in my purse? She didn't know the drugs were in there, because they were planted by an employee or the manager."
