If you're holding a Vanguard Airline ticket

Bad news: your ticket is now worthless, they are bankrupt
Good news: a few airlines are giving free replacement tickets.
check here for details.

That sucks. Reminds me of something I forgot in 2 seconds because I'm on my (pause while counting empty bottles to my right) 7th beer. What are the odds of someone with a Vanguard ticket in hand actually reading this? I suspect drastically low. But I'm sure there is a 2nd or at least 3thrd degree associate of a Anandtech forum reader that is affected. Thanks for the bittersweet news.

<<Good news: a few airlines are giving free replacement tickets.>>

No airline (except for Midwest Express) is honoring Vanguard tickets for free. They may do so, but only on a case-by-case basis.

They are officially only offering REDUCED fares for either a standard ticket or standby and/or charging service fees for Vanguard ticket holders.

The only airline offering free, no-fee standby is Midwest Express.
