Ah, that's nothing. I saw a guy make a left - with traffic waiting to go across the intersection @ all 4 corners - on a red the other day. Just went flying through there without even looking. Moron.

I look most of the time. Saved my ass a couple of times. The drivers out in the Boston area are the worst I have ever seen. They are worse then NY, Chicago and LA.

I always pause because I have seen the same thing way too often. People will blow through a light that has already turned red.

When I first started driving, I didn't think to do this. One time, the light turned green and I went.

Almost got creamed by a car accellerating through the red. Luckily he swerved out of the way.

Now I always look.

What kind of SUV do you have? I actually saw a small old chevy citation pull the bumper off a dodge ram truck at an intersection. The citation looked like it was barely damaged/

uh huh... and then when you get out too fast or they run the red a little late, YOU get side swiped.... or maybe he hits your tail, you lose control and flip... but if that's your attitude, maybe you deserve it... to me, you're almost as bad as the other drivers... you're supposed to try and avoid accidents at all costs, not go out and try to get someone who's running a red light just cuz you're driving a 2.5 ton SUV... what if they're driving say an H2? an H1? a big rig?

If they're in a 'big rig', chances are they won't be making a right turn on red just after the light changes. If they do, it's fairly obvious...and as such, it should be easy to avoid hitting it.

ok, so take the big rig out of the picture... it's still dumb to think "hey, look at me, i'm driving a big suv, so i can go out and hey, if i hit someone, hahaha, their fault, hope they sleep 6 feet under because they ran the red light"
