I just got a CD in the mail of a concert I was in that was recorded. I play oboe in the St. Charles Chamber Orchestra, we combined with a Chorale for this particular concert. The reason I mention patriotism is we closed with Howard Hanson's "Song of Democracy", a nice little piece for vocalists and orchestra. So, if you really wanted to hear it, I could upload it somewhere for y'all to download it
BUT
whoever recorded it didn't do a very good job. The strings are crystal clear, as are the vocalists. The brass is audible but too quiet, and you can hardly hear the woodwinds at all. At the concert they had rows of mics in front of the singers and then just in front of the orchestra, so that explains it. Also, this is about a 15 minute piece and I'm on dial-up, so it would take me quite some time to upload.
I'm not incredibly proud of the recording, as I said, the recording itself isn't very good, and this orchestra is well...it's decent, but I play with better ones. 😉
