If your wife/GF made you choose between watching sports, or her, which would you choose?

Sports are just something I watch when I'm out drinking beer. I much rather look at some females than a bunch of dudes in tights.

but if its womens vollyball, tennis or gymastics... i'd have to think about it.

The wife will watch sports with me from time to time, not to mention actually go to games and have a good time. No complaints here!

This comment gets the big fat QFT.

We have HDTV, a dvd-R, a big cable package with HBO,Netflix and Sirius radio.. I so seldom watch tv that I'm not sure I can even turn it on. I never interupt my husband's tv watching or expect him to miss a show to do anything with me.

I love sports but if someone held a gun to my head and said pick one, I'd pick her. My fiance ismy best friend. If SHE made me pick(and she never would), then i'd have to rethink the relationship in the first place.

I chose sports. I can do better than a gf/wife that would make me choose. My current gf has taken me to whitesox and Bulls games, and makes sures she knows when the Bears game is so that she can schedule around it. She's not a huge sport fan, but she's willing to watch the games and go with me to them because she realizes I am. I can't ask for more than that.

sports...my first date with my g/f was to a Mets game

if she cant stand me watching sports a couple times a week then she wouldnt be my g/f

sometimes I have to choose games of random teams that i dont really care about or hang out with my g/f...then i will choose g/f even though I would normally watch the game

but if it is one of my teams, my ass on that couch or barstool

Sports.

A woman who is going to do something like that isn't worth it. Who knows what she'll demand you refrain from next.

I have no interest in sports.
That being said, there is no way on earth that I would ever put up with somebody who wants to control what I do.

Perhaps that's why I'm still single.

Or would

1) Rather play sports than watch them
2) Considers f***ing a sport
3) 1 + 2

It doesn't matter. I don't really care for salmon, in fact I dislike it, but if a GF or wife told me, you can either eat salmon or be with me, I'd choose the salmon. We're not talking about a drug habit, alcoholism, cleaning up after yourself, or anything that is remotely reasonable to complain about. The only exception I can think of would be if I had a major gambling problem or massive sports addiction such that it was severely impacting the relationship.

Ultimatums like that are nonsense and I don't want to be with someone who pulls crap like that, period.

On the other hand, if it were simply a choice I was making on my own without ever being asked to make it and I knew it boiled down to sports or my woman (I'm having a hard time picturing how this would happen - traumatic childhood trauma?) and was in no way related to her wish to control me. I would choose the wife/GF.

If he's not interested in watching sports with me, he should find a yard to mow or a car to wash.

As far as choosing, we wouldn't have been together long enough to get married or be in a long term relationship in the first place if he didn't like watching sports. LOL

no question..definitely sports, but most of the girls I date seem to have at least a marginal interest in sports..the ex was a HUGE college football fan, would literally watch from 9am-11pm with the only possible break of GOING to a game..the new girl I'm interested is big into college basketball, so yeah :)
