Similar thing happened in South River, NJ. My bro-in-law is a detective and was on the scene, although luckily he wasn't there to see all of the gore.

Basically, a dude chopped up his wife, threw her limbs in ther nearby park, cooked her head in the oven, and hung the remaining torso in the basement.

When the guy's friend came over, he invited him into the basement to show him what he had done... Like it was 4th grade show and tell. His friend called the cops after he left.

When the cops got there, they say he answered the door as cool as a cucumber. Invited them in, offered them drinks, etc. Then when they asked if they could check the basement he got crazy. I wonder why. It wasn't until later when he was in custody that he started bragging about it and daring the officers to check the oven. FREAK!

These kinds of people do not think rationally.

Still I have been pretty burned in the past. I would not bring harm to someone else over it just on breaking up with me or even taking some of my stuff.

All bets are off though if they have harmed me or someone close to me.

I got in some major fights with some ex chicks...esp my ex wife...even now 10 years later getting a phone call from someone looking for her is not a rare event for any 3 month span. Even my parents still get calls about her (and unfortunately some of my old things).

The better person can show so much more angst against their jilted partner by simply moving on as if they don't care, acknowledging that partner when they collide in public politely, and never mentioning them more in 'My last (bf/gf) and I did not end up so well...howver that is now in the past and we are both happy because of it'

That was my question. Apparently, he didn't think his friend would rat him out to the po-po. He probably was showing off. Who knows what these maniacs are thinking!

And if I were the friend, yes I would have shat myself before I even left the place.
