Well, as I'm not working right now, I would "retire" by default. However, I'd just go back to school after enjoying a backpacking trip abroad and a week's stay in Fiji. Then, I'd work in some capacity -- either in the home or out of it.

Probably cut back my hours to 3 days a week. Eventually I would start up a business.

I think I would try to work something out where I kept working but on better terms. i.e. work from home etc.

I like what I do... most of the time at least. :D

Now, I'm not sayin that I won't find something I like better... but I think at least initially I'd keep goin.

I'll definitely keep my job. The winnings will be just some extra spice on my life that will keep me motivated and achieve more. Besides, I like to stay 'low profile' as much as possible. So there... :)

Lets assume I win a big jackpot like 100 mil plus. I would invest half of it, give a portion to friends and family, then move to someplace cool like orange county or San Diego. From there I would just party it up for a while and have fun.

I'd probably quit whatever job I was working find something that I truly wanted to do, regardless of pay.

It would depend - I love my job and the people I work with, but I'd also like to live in the Texas Hill Country, or perhaps the NV side of Lake Tahoe. But that'd also conflict with me wanting to go back to school and get a degree in Marine Biology and donate my time to shark research ... Decisions!

Weak. You people act like the only two options are going to work or watching TV and playing WoW all day.

Here are a list of countries I'd visit (for maybe a couple months each give or take):

Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, Australia, India, Nepal, Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Tanzania, Brazil, Argentina, Chile.

Counting periodic visits back to the states, that should take probably 4-5 years. At that point I'd buy a house in my favorite country and alternate between there and the US (either my "cabin" in Colorado or my beach house on the Oregon coast.)

Not sure what I'd do with my free time at that point, but I'm sure I could come up with something.

I'd retire and if I ever ran out of awesome stuff to do I'd do volunteer work at an observatory or planetarium or something. I've always wanted to do something astronomy-related but I was never able to handle the math involved so it's just a hobby for me.

A winning powerball ticket was sold in my state (DE) this weekend, would have been awesome if it was me, lol. Though I never play.

I'd definitely quit my job after a few weeks (to get things in order..), go do some traveling, eventually come back to settle for a few years with a stint at grad school then probably off to my own business or being a peon at some company...

I'd keep working as I have a contract. Plus, I work here because I wanted the experience, something money can't buy.

I would go back to school and study philosophy, theology, astronomy, and whatever else I felt like.

I'd definitely quit. Somewhere down the road I'd go the self-employed route, maybe buy a struggling golf course and remodel it.

Well, I happen to generally enjoy what I do and not doing something productive for an extended period of time would gnaw at me. Leaving my father in the lurch (family business) probably wouldn't go over well either.

I'd take a few more vacations and travel in better style but that's about it.

Retire and enjoy life.
Am 29. Frankly I'm not too keen on working my ass off until 70 and then being miserable in a rest home for the last 10. But that looks like my current plan.

All the times I've enjoyed life is when I wasnt working. I'd really like to see a lot more of the world, even better would be to have a couple of homes across it. Maybe a nice little villa on the Riviera or somthing like that. Then perhaps a cabin in the Alps. I wouldnt ski, just enjoy the snow.

I also dont think I would get bored. I honestly believe that I could spend one year of my life in every interesting country of the world and die before I ran out.
