If you were to buy a new graphics card what would you buy? I want to spend less than $300 if possible. I would like it to be quiet if possible and I think that 256mb is what I need to get. I need this for video editing and running some intense 3D transitions for it. PCI-E Suggestions. Thanks.

i would get the 6800gs...the new batches of GT/GTOs are not moddable, so i wouldnt take the risk in buying one of those.

Thats right - the only real question is should you get the above card or the eVGA version overclocked to 470mhz core for the same $$$

If you want to save $120 and not mess w/ unlocking and overclocking then you might consider the Powercolor X800GTO 16. It comes w/ ALL 16pipes enabled and is $179. This probably is the next bang for bux champ if you can't get a c3d gto that'll unlock or want to pay $220 for a Sapphire GTO2.
