If you were offered 1 million dollars in pennies being dumped in your house, would you do it?

Would you take a million dollars, if it was in pennies being dumped in your house unrolled?

Dont forget the amount of damage the pennies would cause being dumped inside your house along with you hardly being able to use the house anymore.

yes.....free money. 1 million is worth the time and effort to count and convert the pennies to paper money. And I would buy a new house anyways...

No, they would dump the pennies inside your house, destroying any furniture, appliances, electronics and walls in the process.

Whoops, i read it as 1 million pennies. Just multiply that by 100. I'd still take it ;)

Yeah, I'd say.

1 penny = 2.5086g * 100,000,000 = 250,860,000grams / 453.59237g per pound = 553,051.631lbs.

I doubt there are even 100 million pennies in ciruclation.

Edit: Uh, ok, so I'm way wrong.

There are about 150 billion US pennies in circulation today.

Yes I would. Sell the house complete with contents for $900,000. Someone makes $100,000 off that, and I get real money.

Your doubts are misplaced...

I can guarantee you theres at least more than 1 penny per person in the US (and there's a hell of a lot more than 100 million people)

with the damage that 553K lbs of pennies does on a house, plus the time and labor to actually deposit the pennies in the bank....it may not be worth it.

I'd do it.

Your land would just be a huge pile of pennies. I'd build big concrete walls around the property and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck.

I figure I'd probably be able to scrape up 40-50k worth of pennies a year. Would be pretty good livin. ;)
