I've seen a few people stating what they would want to ask in seperate threads, so I thought that we could have a central location for everyones.

Please feel free to put whatever you think you would like to ask in that position, pro or con. Whatever you would like to hear answered from a Jeff Gannon softball....to a Helen Thomas barage.

I believe that my question would be something along the lines of:

I would like to ask about, what appears to be, an Orwellian naming of legislation or policies under your administration. You have given things very jingoistic titles like NCLB, Clean Skies Initiative, Patriot Act, etc. yet those names seem to contridict the actual spirit of the policy or legislation that are representing.

Is your administration actively participating in a propaganda campaign to appeal to the citizenry's basic desire for comfort and safety by using these types of "feel-good" names?

Serious answer? I'd ask why the expanded authority of the intelligence and police agencies, as in the recent debate over the NSA actions and the Patriot Act renewal, is necessary? In what ways has it proven helpful in fighting terrorism? Are you concerned about the impact such policies have on civil liberties?

Why did you resort to a secret NSA plan to spy on Americans that would clearly raise questions about constitutionality when you could have easily used the FISA act to do the same thing within the law and the Constitution. And btw I know that the FISA act allows you to immediately start surveilance and qives you 72 hours to then go to the FISA and get an approval. And that FISA approval is all but guaranteed. And did you nominate your close friend Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court in anticipation of the questionable legality of your actions ending up before the court?

I'd ask Bush why he continues to link his unprovoked attack against Iraq with his "war on terror" when in fact, as investigations by his own government have concluded, there was no relation between Iraq, 9/11, or al Qaeda. I'd also ask Bush why he continues to tell the American people that his attack on their constitutional rights is necessary because there are *dangerous people* still out there when in fact if Bush had sent the requisite force into Afghanistan instead of attacking Iraq for no reason -- and thereby leaving the job of finding and destroying the leadership of al Qaeda to local Afghan warlords -- many of those dangerous people wouldn't still be out there, now would they?

Oh, and I'd ask Bush what gave him the authority to name Iraq the homefield for his "war on terror," what did the Iraqi people do to deserve this honor, seeing as how Iraq had nothing to do with the terror attacks against the U.S. and since that is the case why can't he see that by doing so he did to Iraq exactly what al Qaeda did to America on 9/11?

"If the Supreme Court rules that your authorization of NSA warrantless domestic surveilance violates Federal law, should you be prosecuted and/or impeached? If not, if your justification is that you were in good faith trying to protect American lives, then explain to us how that defense is any different from that of someone who bombs an abortion clinic."

I'd ask him what happened in Brownsville in 1984. I'm sure it would really piss him off. He has never answered any questions about the slayings of 15 cult members in Brownsville, Texas. He apparently disappeared for 3 days after it happened and couldn't remember anything for that time period. His daddy got the authorities to drop any investigation of W regarding the matter. Move forward to Bush as governor of Texas and he pardons the leader of the gang, who had been responsible for several deaths.

Mr. President, I won't insult the American people by asking you a question. That will only give you another chance to lie to them. Instead, I will simply ask you to resign. Your Presidency is nothing but a total disaster. Please shut up, say nothing, do the right thing and resign. But if you need to give more lies to the people feel free to respond.
