If you were going to start a forum which of these two packages would you pick?

Simple Machine Forums? SMF or

PHPBB?

Which is easier on the server? Give me the low down. I know vbulletin is the best - but no cash for that!

I've run both for years, both heavily modified. Do NOT use phpBB. Use SMF.
