To answer OPs question:
I joined the Navy for their Aviation program, wound up working for the Army, alongside the Air Force (Also had some interaction with Marines during my very short stint in Naval Aviation).
My thoughts:
1. US Air Force if you want easy duty, first class accommodations & highly skilled training.
2. US Army if you have desire to fly or work on Rotorcraft. (Their Aviation program is second to none! However, of all the other ratings, I feel they are lacking for the most part.
3. US Navy if you are looking to get by with as little work as possible & don't mind sub-par training in your chosen field, not to mention the 6+ month sea dutys, would suck if you're married or attached.
4. US Marines if you want to be a real man, highly disciplined, well trained, & have structure in your life. Not for the lazy, faint of heart, or if you don't like authoritarianism. It will make a man of you, that's for sure!
Even if you are Infantry, you will be the best damned killer in the world.
It will be the hardest thing you have ever experienced, but it will stay with you for life! (SEMPER FI)
5. US Coast Guard: I have no first hand experience with USCG, so I can make no recs.
