I'm thinking of calling it quits in my current position but I'm having a hard time trying to decide where to go next. So if you were a burned out computer guy what would you do next?

What do you currently do in IT? You said "computer guy", so I'm thinking somewhat of a technician? There are many facets of IT, so perhaps you can try something else?

I'm kind of a glorified QA person, I primarily test software and ensure compatability with various desktop systems for my company. Not to exciting to say the least.

Im getting burned out myself. I have been going to Massage school for since Jan and really liking it. Once I graduate ill keep my IT job and do massages at night and on weekends to bring in play money (gotta support my flying habit somehow). I would quit but i make too much money to just do that plus with a wife and 3 kids ill tough it out.

Welcome to the world of "I hate my job." Most people do. As long as it pays the bills, who cares?
Exactly how long have you been doing this job? What kind of certification do you have? Why is it that you want to get out of IT? Chances are you want to get away from computers entirely, but doing anything else would require both time and money to accomplish. You have to ask yourself "Do I see it getting better in the next 2 years", because that's about how long it will take for you to complete training and education in any other job, as a minimum.
The problem lies mostly in the fact that you don't KNOW what you want to do... wondering into an already unstable job market not knowing what you want to do could totally land you in a place where you are worse than you are now.
It may be that your are burned out of your job because you come home and play on the computer after doing it for a living. Get out of the house, exercise, find a hobby that has nothing to do with computers and see if the job is easier to bear.

I'm burned out but could never find a job making what I make. I have to support my family so I keep coming into work. If I didn't have the family and I was single I would probably have just started traveling, opened a small pub in Ireland or Scotland and lived out my days there drinking Guinness everyday.
