Probably some cool designer clothes like Neo, Morpheus, and the ilk wore in the Matrix. Spandex is for women and fairies.

I'd wear what I wear almost every day; black pants, a black shirt, and my 3/4 coat. Except if I was a superhero, the 3/4 coat would be lined with magazine holders, fitted with sholder-holsters, and my pants would be BDU style with dozens of pockets for various types of incendiary devices and gadgets.

well spiderman didnt look that bad int he movie...but in real life id guess he would look liek a dork..

Spiderman looked cool when he had the black "Venom" costume on. Otherwise, the red and blue looks kind of dorky. I still loved that comic when I was growing up.

so you are a superhero. you're the coolest guy on earth. you're just hanging around waiting for some baddy to do what he does... something bad.

and then you think. hey i'm not cool enough (even though you know you are), i need a costume to look cooler, else the baddy doesn't take me seriously.

so after you wear your costume you (insert superpower here, preferingly flying or something) to get to him. and when the guy sees you he just starts laughing. "what the hell? so you are the coolest guy on earth coming to defeat me and you're wearing (insert your costume here)?" he laughes so hard that he kills himself doing it.

so that's why superheros wear costumes, for entertaining purpose...
