If you wanted to drill through your head, where would the best place to insert the bit be?

Wasn't there recently a thread on this, some guy committed suicide this way? I posted the same quote in that, IIRC.
 
If you use something like a 1-1/2 inch auger bit you can cut a nice clean hole from temple to temple and it'll give you a handy place to keep extra pens and pencils, maybe even a small flashlight.

I was thinking about this after watching the movie PI. If you have seen it you would know why. I dont want to spoil it at all, you can PM me if you want to know more about it.

I say using one of those big drill things they use to bore out engine blocks. straight down from the top. Don't stop till you reach your ass.

 
some guy just did that successfully a couple months ago. I know there were posts on it. He used a Dewalt drill and just went to town and drilled right into his brain. I don't think he lived to long. Like others have said though, the temple is probably the quickest place. The stem of the brain in the back of your head would probably be quick too.
 
I could try to go through my C-spinme at say my C2 and then I would stop breathing... asperate to death. That would do it for sure.
 
if you use a "normal" drill bit, you'll want to go for a harder area for it to drill in. Seriously, most "regular" drill bits don't go through skin that well... you can take a drill bit and put it right against your hand with the drill running. It takes a bit of force to get it to start penetrating (I'm not sure how much, but with the amount it takes to get it to drill into wood, it won't go into skin- I demonstrated this to my wife before she would let my son play with power tools)

Anyway, head towards the brain stem... Not all areas of the brain will result in death. (i.e. lobotomies make scrambled eggs out of a portion of the brain). More likely than not, you won't be successful though.

You have been watching hellraiser 5, haven't ya? hmm, that wasn't the intention of the drilling, but to bring back his memory. Is mess up, a brain is as delicate as tissue paper, it very easy to die. in their, pulzes of eletricity controls motion movement, thoughts, emotion, and even nerve. it is basically like your CPU. all electrical, one little mistake basically fries everything up.

When I get my annual migraine, I always visualize shooting myself in the head just to relieve the pressure.

agree, brain stem would be fast, also there is no pain receptors in the brain, so the only pain should come from drilling through skin/skull. It seems like driling through the back of your lower head would hurt less than drilling through your eyes or mouth, I guess.

 
i would say headbutting a train would be the easiest way to go. if your worried about pain just like set your manhood on fire with some gasoline then you should be able to start drilling with no hesitation. and skrew the best location i will give ya ten points per hole!
