Ok, I did a search, and I hope this isn't a repost.

Also, this might be OLD news, but I just found it today.

It's this site that has this zipped file that you put in your WinMX folder for more servers that WinMX will go to upon starting up. Man, the results I'm getting are UNBELIEVABLE.

Lemme kno what you guys think.

Looks like even more servers than they had listed in the original version of mx. Everyone still is "Busy (Queueable)", though...

Friggin' amazing. 33 servers, and a couple hundred thousand gigs. :D This almost makes up for all the servers I had manually programmed in but lost in my last re-format after my Matshita CD-RW went belly-up and I screwed up the drivers trying to fix it.

<< from the readme.txt file:

Go to "Settings" > "Change User Name/Pass". Enter your old WinMX
username and password, your Napster username and pass, or some other
such username and password. Try to make them pretty unique, and also
do NOT use characters such as £, *, &, #, @, ?, ! etc. in the name.

Why?

I don't understand why this is necessary. I already have a username and password I have been using since day one. I don't have an "old" username or password.

I'm not entirely sure why that is either, but no matter how messed up I make my username (444killface3343234234, etc.), I end up getting prompted by some servers telling me that my username is in use. I don't get it. Oh well, it does work pretty well though. Still use trusty, rusty IRC for most of my music transfers anyhow.

Probably because it overwrites the file your username and password is stored in so you have to enter it again...............
