No, it just means your stomach can't handle the alcohol at that given time. Alcohol poisoning is way more serious and can include vomiting, but basically it f*cks up your nervous system when your blood alcohol content is too high, which can lead to heart failure, unconsciousness, slow breathing etc

Why do people always ignore brain damage?

It's like natural selection. Alcohol only kills the week brain cells. Thus, just like a herd of animals, the whole gets stronger; or in this case, smarter. Yay alcohol!

This sounds like a loose quote from Cheers.... But it's a good one. :D

So if you don't throw up after having a drink you get alcohol poisoning? By all rights I should be dead by now if so! :p

Snapster, you have some competition! :D

lol, more information is always welcome. Going into a bit of alcohol abuse there though. Anyway, there's sufficient information already for the OP to make their own call by now. :)

You won't necessarily get alcohol poisoning if you don't throw up, I mean, odds are you won't at all. But if you hurl, you're purging your stomach of all that crap.

I got alcohol poisoning a while back. Couldn't sleep for three days, ended up sticking a pill up my ass.
