I ordered several toys from Amazon at 75% with FREE SHIPPING (see this thread) and they are shipping as separate orders AND CHARGING SHIPPING on each item...

Example:
Qty Item Price Shipped Subtotal
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Super Spiral Speedway $5.99 1 $5.99
Toysrus.com, LLC item sold by Amazon.com Kids, Inc.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Item Subtotal: $5.99
Shipping & Handling: $6.67

Shipping Savings: -$3.99

Total: $8.67

Paid by Visa: $8.67

Per a thread at my coupons, they will credit the charge if you call or e-mail (and at least one person reported that it was corrected automatically on the confirmation for the last item), but I wanted to give you a heads up to keep an eye on it.

If yours is wrong, you can e-mail them or call 1-800-201-7575.

I bet they do this on a large scale because they bet, and probably correctly, that most people aren't going to go back and check stuff like this. Dirty business, Amazon is up to it's ears in it.

Amazon doesn't really do that kind of stuff - they've always been fair, when it comes to promotions, coupons and customer service. I think this might have just been an error in how they implemented the free shipping. I was overcharged as well, and just sent them an e-mail. Let's see how quickly and easily this is resolved.

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com and Toysrus.com.

It has come to our attention our free shipping promotion for the "Tool
Kit" was not properly applied when we charged and shipped your order (#XXX-
XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX).

To compensate you for this error, I have requested a refund of $6.12 to
your credit card. This amount represents the shipping costs you were
erroneously charged.

We will send an e-mail to confirm the amount once the refund has been
completed. You should also see the refund on your next credit card
statement.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have
caused, and thank you for shopping at Amazon.com and Toysrus.com.

Best regards,

Gagandeep Singh
