Well, lets hear what your experience/history is. With no post history, we have no basis of understanding of what types of knowledge you may have.

Based on your location, are you with any of these?

AGV
Alpinestars
Dainese
Sidi
Spidi

for "are you WITH",you mean "you work FOR\WITH them"?

we do have items of those brands (except Dainese),so if you want to know more about any of those items,or if you have a particular question about an item of those brands that you have seen before IRL,then yes i can definitely help

Whats the quality control and long term durability on AGV helmets nowadays.
Used to be complaints about padding\trim pieces in the back coming loose after just looking at it weird. That and the visor mount system.

If you had to pick a set of leathers that would be your only set of leathers AND you would need to use them for 5 years what brand would you go with?

Who makes Icon's helmets nowadays?

What's the best midrange race suit nowadays?

Ignoring head shapes...Shoei or Arai? Why?

Favorite Action Cam and place to mount it?

1)all high-end helmets that are manufactured by Italian brands are still made in Italy, FOR REAL, and their QC is over the top,I've been visiting AGV by myself and i saw how they make the Pista Gp Zero from scratch, and you wouldn't believe how hard-worked is it.some people may complain about some stuff here and there, but for those helmets (and at that price) it all comes down on how you "treat" them and how you take care of them

2)that's very relative,I've been(and many customers too)happy with the Alpinestars and Rev'it Products, both high and mid range

3)you mean the country where they are produced?Korea and various other Asian countries

4)I'd say Alpinestars Motegi.It doesn't cost a kidney and its almost bullet-proof

5)I have never had any experiences with neither of them,so i wouldn't say which one is better

6)Gopro,usually on the helmet,or the side of the bike. And for many bikes, you have to be inventive.keep in mind that on the helmet it might shake a little bit too much at (very)high speeds,so you might consider the side or any place of the bike where it can be safely mounted

I was a diehard Alpinestars fan for many, many years. As of late, however, their quality has tanked... hard. Only their top-tier stuff is made in Italy anymore. Everything else is made in China/Asia and is NOT the same quality that they built their reputation on.

I still wear an A* jacket from 2002. It's been down 4x and I still trust it. I got a pair of their SP-X gloves a little over a year ago and the leather started fading in less than 6 months. The wrist strap deteriorated in 8months. A GP Pro jacket had failing zipper seams in under a year... got it replaced and the seams in the shoulder broke. Stories of this kind of failure are more and more common.

Rev'It and Dainese are probably the best mainstream leathers on the market, for the price. There are better niche companies that cost more or less but are harder to find. Spidi is great but pricier.

The thing is, under ~700 for a 1-piece or 2 piece is probably going to be of similar quality. It's hard to hit that price point from the quality players. The cost of materilas and labor is just too high in places like Europe/US so they outsource to cheaper (and often less skilled) countries like Chinia, Pakistan, Vietnam, etc.

A* branding is just so obnoxious on their stuff I place it next to Icon in "Ugh, I'm a walking d-bag billboard with this on". I like my SMX Plus Air boots, and the branding is pretty minimal for them and I can cover it up with my riding pants.

I agree. They make good quality leather but their styling department needs assistance. Dainese is better but their stuff doesn't fit me quite right.

I'm kind of looking at Aerostich one piece suits. A guy I work with has two of them and he loves them. They are extremely well made, offer great protection and they are easy to get on/off. Oh, and they're made in the United States.

They're expensive but totally worth it and as my friend told me, you ride a $20,000 Ducati and you're complaining about spending $1,200 on a riding suit? 😀

I also need new boots. My Sidi Air Vertigos are just about shot.

How about Hein Gericke? I have a Honda (by HG) jacket that is going on 20 years old and it's as solid as the day I bought it... if not a bit, uh... smaller, which is why I need a new one.

Edit: Well, shit... guess they went bankrupt... twice... and only sell in Europe now. 🙁

That's the hard, cold truth, unfortunately.its the same trend for technology\hardware,casual\everyday clothing etc

what kind of jacket exactly are you looking for?maybe there are some "alternatives" out there or similar products, both in price and look.

Check out fieldsheer and olympia too. Sport touring guys love em. They spend many hours under all types of conditions in them. Says alot about the comfort and durability.

I'm a two piece tour master kinda guy now. I just don't do iron butt any more.

Regarding the Aerostich; (link no work for some reason)

I'd say good and bad, the bad can be solved it just may take several tries to get it adjusted if something is off for you. But the positives of the suit are really good. I just change at work and I don't need to wear a suit so riding my 45 mile commute and then putting on slightly ruffled business casual is fine for me.
