the only bit that might slow you down is waiting in line to get in the elevators. The ride is just a few minutes, and you won't be kicked out once you get up there.

It's a good view.

A fun thing to do outside the arch is to stand with your back against one of the legs, and then look straight up. If there are clouds moving across the sky the vertigo might kill you. It's fun.
 
For those of you visiting in the near future, do not drive/walk north of the Edward Jones Dome! Wow. We went that way to avoid traffic after the fireworks and now I understand why nobody else was going that way. The ghetto starts a couple blocks north of the dome, and it gets real dark real fast. The only part of the area lit up at all was from a large dumpster that was on fire. :Q
