If you have kids, do you love them equally?

I don't have any (that I'm aware of, of course) and especially at this late date, have no interest. But if asked, I think I would say something like 'at any given moment I might like one of you better than the others, but that's transient. Enjoy it while you got it.'

I have two grown daughters (29 & 24) and BOTH are mad at me right now.

And fully on-topic, while I LOVE both my girls the same I LIKE my younger daughter a lot more at least for the moment!

I swear my older is God's payback for the total a$$hole I was to my dad as a teen!

:p

Cool. I have an fairly abstract interest in such things since that is the background most people come from. As you might imagine, there are any number of reasons I'm childless but mainly being scared shitless of the responsibility. My mom made so-called "helicopter moms" seem quaint. And I will be the first to admit that was almost certainly warranted. I was also an only child which gives you a somewhat unique perspective.

I understand that more than you know. I can hardly take care of myself. No way am I gonna mess up some soul just to appear "normal" to the rest of the world.

Some people tell me that I need to get married and just have a child and then my luck will change because they will bring me luck. To which my answer is, what if my bad luck is so bad that it cancels out their good luck? They shut up after that :)

I relate to that more than you can possibly know.
lol, as a dad, he probably told them like it is and they didn’t like it 😎
Let's just hope neither frequents ATOT. I'm guessing that's a pretty safe bet. :joycat:

My dog and cat get loved equally.
I want a kitty but currently (and for longer than I care to say) I'm not very good about taking care of myself. Example: My "power flush" toilet broke well over a year ago and it took a while for me to figure out how to flush it manually (fill bucket, empty bucket - with water, because I know how you urchins think. Hehe
Love is not quantifiable. I love my three daughters, they are different personaliteis, so each in their own way.
Not bad and actually pretty enlighted.

edit: you may or may not be aware of my feral cat situation. It's a small miracle that I somehow manage to feed them every . . . single . . . day.

Well, they are a product of your X and your ex. (X chromosome).

I will probably treat my hypothetical sons with greater suspicion.

There is a lot of intellect but a lot of potential for immorality and "don't give a fuck about others" on that Y chromosome I carry. Loathsome behaviors.
