If you have a bottle that says 1 refill - can you refill it at a different pharmacy?

I know I can call and ask, the only pharmacy open today isn't open till noon.

I usually use this one pharmacy and it is closed today. Forgot to get the meds yesterday. It says clearly on the bottle 1 refill left. Can the pharmacy I usually don't use utilize this bottle as a prescription?

Or am I screwed. . .

if the other one isn't open, don't know how they are going to transfer the prescription

You're screwed. They need a written prescription or for the other pharmacy to transfer the prescription. They have no way of knowing if that 1 refill has been used or not.

Edit: Unless they are the same chain. Then their information is in the system and they can just fill it at the other store.

both pharmacies must be open for the transfer to occur. There has to be communication between a pharmacist at each store. I highly doubt that the pharmacy that you usually don't go to will give you some pills without transfering the medication. In other words, you are SOL

depending on the medication and your need for it, you can call the doctor. Your doctor may not be on call but someone should be and they can call it in to the pharmacy that is open.
