If you have a "blue thing" in the toilet, how come after flushing the color fades?

I guess I'm in a George Carlin type mood. I'm not talking about as the tablet wears out, the color gets paler. I'm talking about; you flush, the water is dark blue. 15 minutes later, it's pale blue. One hour later, it's clear.

I don't have a leak (that didn't sound right, but I'll leave it b/c I LOLed) in my tank...where does the damn color go? I can't go if the water isn't blue!!! :Q

me\<---thinking about keeping a bottle of non-staining blue food coloring on top of the tank, "just in case it's not blue."

<< WTF would you want blue water, anyway? >>

Because it makes the water smell like bleach (to me, that means sanitary) and....I like the way the blue water looks, OK?

I heard a politican once say that you can save ink if you write slower.

I guess if you don't mind an occasional log in the bowl you can skip flushes too! :Q

Cheers!

I've lived in "clear water households" for 20 years now. The toilet has always been fine. It's not like brown stuff grows in it w/o the blue thing.

You're correct; as long as proper cleaning habits are maintained, the bowl does stay reasonably clean. However, the blue thing does keep the bowl cleaner, longer, b/t cleanings. *CONFIRMED*

Id just like to confirm (you may now put the *** CONFIRMED *** in the title) that this does occur...

Why?? I have no idea.. But all my crappers have em in it, and they all go clear after awhile...

Thank you! It has now been *CONFIRMED* (somebody else backed up my statement...) that this indeed, does occur. |Can anyone offer some scientific insight as to why?|

i think that would imply either the blue stuff evaporates, reacts, or settles out though if it settled you should see it on the bottom of the tank.

Like you, I am intelligent. :) I thought the same thing...so I have gotten down on my knees and peered deep into the water...and saw nothing. I expected to see small particles of Blue Stuff. But no; no blue stuff. WUWT?
