Knowing my luck, I'll die of a stress related stroke at work just a few months before retirement.
More common situation is when you retire and stress associated with the change gets you after you retire. My recommendation for all people going that route.... exercise through the transition to help cope and be able to spend the money you've saved. (My neighbor had a major stroke 2 months after he retired...lost the ability to talk, walk, balk, and caulk...)

The most dangerous thing I do on a regular basis is ride my bike. Damn vehicles driven by idiots are gonna get me killed.

Or a plane crash. I'm not a fan of plane crashes, particularly when I'm in them.

And don't get me started about hot air balloons.

That shit is no joke. It's scary to think about because my Dad is on the verge of retiring and he's a guy that *HAS* to be doing *something* all of the time. Weather it's yardwork, some sort of car maintenance, moonlighting brick/tile jobs, hunting, fishing, whatever. He will soon have all of this time that available that he wasn't used to. He can't sit still.

I won't lie, as I get older (a couple months away from 40) and I now have a family (2 kids) that immortality and lack of fear of death is not as strong. Over the last few years I've started wearing more protective gear when I run. I wear a full reflective vest, wear a headlamp, and put on extra reflective tape on my shoes. Any little bit of visibility advantage I can gain to get driver attention. I would absolutely love to do road biking but I know of too many people hit/killed on them. A hospital I know has actually lost three physicians to biking accidents. I live in an absolutely beautiful part of the country and it would be amazing to see it on a bike. But I don't want to deal with cars. When I run, it's a lot easier to hop off the shoulder if things get dicey. If I have to jump it's no big deal. On a bike you are looking at broken bones or a head injury.

Cancer's a safe bet; probably skin. I'd prefer dying while choking the shit out of someone who needs it.
Take BJJ, git gud. Then you can choke lots of people, regardless of whether they need it or not.

My mom is pretty much like that, just about always gotta be doing something. They live in a pretty rural area and while it's more "boonies" than I was raised in, they're pretty used to that sorta thing. But it's why she's always volunteered for the state fair for years and has joined the local Veteran's organization.

To answer the OP, up until a few years ago there was a good chance it would be due to alcohol or drugs. Now... I dunno. Boredom? ROFL. I dunno, maybe skin cancer or heart attack or something. Every so often I get these heart tremors where it feels like my heart beats really fast for only a couple seconds, like once a month or something. I dunno whatevs

So many options but im gonna say either:

Heart Attack
Complications due to liver failure
colon cancer
skin cancer
lung cancer
complications due to abdominal surgery

it will be one of them.

or car crash/accident but Im betting I will live to suffer lol.
