For professional level jobs.

I'm going into marketing/sales this year after I get my bachelors.

Any suggestions for either?

Oh, I thought you were talking about regular transporter of goods. If you wanted that job you could just throw stuff and take no responsibility for it. :p

The entry level pay for USPS is usually between 37-53 for starting pay, that's pretty good for a starting marketing major out of college.

I think UPS is hiring more box-drop-kickers, and I'm pretty sure USPS is always looking for more box-loosers and stealing-your-stuff'ers.

UPS has it's benefits (been working there in management for about 3 years now) but definitly see about the USPS benefits. We get some great stock awards and good pay but the hours are long and the work is hard. With USPS being govt you might get better hours and that would be worth a little less money.

USPS does not have much to market as sh1t is contracted with Fedex etc...

You have a better chance with marketing/sales because of the companies that ship UPS

UPS. USPS is government so don't expect much advancement.

Yeah but in USPS you won't have to (gag) work.

yep! and you don't have to worry if you are unprofitable, you will never get laid off or anything!

UPS, the workers are hotter and the environment is more "stimulating". That alone would make me consider it over a govn't job. Most govn't jobs are staffed by boring middle aged people who couldn't get a job elsewhere because they're so boring. Most of the ones I've noticed have no personality whatsoever and I would hate to work with people like that...
