I would not put MGS4 on the list and would actually dissuade people from that game if they were not already into the MGS games. You will either love MGS4 or hate it, there really is no inbetween. Uncharted on the other hand, I do not know 1 person who has played the actual game (not just the demo) who has not enjoyed it.

I played and beat MGS4 and loved every moment of it. I've not played any of the previous games beforehand. The story bits and pieces the past story lines, so most major plot incidences are prefaced with a history. It all made sense for the most part, it certainly did NOT affect my overall enjoyment of the game, and did not affect at all the actual parts where I'm actually controlling the character. Bottom line: Get it, play it.

MGS4, simply because of the masterful storytelling. And I've always been a fan of MGS/Stealth-action games.

Add me to this list. MGS4 was my first game on the PS3, and it's been my favorite. I never played any of the series either, get it.

Originally I didn't care much for little big planet, but the more I play, the more the game just makes me laugh... I don't recall ever playing any game that made me laugh so much, so my vote is for LBP.
