<< That's an easy one. Unlimited wishes requiring a simple, but unusual string of thoughts to activate. That way if I'm ever trapped, or thrown in jail, I wont be left without my wishing talisman and SOL. Also, the reason for the string of thoughts being unusual is, if simply wishing for something made it come true, could you imagine the mistakes you might make in the heat of passion or anger? Sheesh! >>
at first, I would wish for something along the lines of this also. its basically becoming omnipotent, knod of all powerfull, almost like a god.
but then again, I think that this wish, and almost all of the other wishes people posted would eventually just become unfullfilling. if you can instantly have anything and everything that you've ever wanted, then what would be the point in life? it would get boring, there would be no challenge to life. this is the same subject of so many anti-utopia novels. What you consider now to be the perfect life or the perfect world, would not be perfect at all once your actually living it. Your wishes would make you happy for a short time, but then you would just get used to it.
it would be like playing a video-game with all of the cheats on, you can just walk straight though all of the levels and challenges, simply using your wishes and cheats to get to the next level without any challenge whatsoever.
now that wouldnt be any fun at all, would it?
if you ask me, i would never wish to rid the world of all evil, or wish to become the most powerfull being in the universe. I think perhaps the perfect world is something where there IS evil throughout the world, but there is a clearly defined boundary between good and evil. A kind of world that is depicted in old comic books perhaps, it is clear that you are fighting on the right side, and you know exactly who your enemies are. You will face incredible obstacles day after day, that present new and different challenges. you will have bad days, and good days, win some battles, and lose some battles, but it is definitely NEVER boring. And, you will eventually die fighting for what is good and right. THAT is my real wish.
