So I'm heading to Europe this spring, and due to work I can only be there 10 days.. a few of those days are already accounted for, in Paris and Amsterdam

where else would you suggest, preferably somewhere easy to get to by train

Hard question!

I have so many friends in Germany, that I usually end up there, but I have relatives in Italy and Greece I can visit too.

I am in the same situation! I wanna take some time off work in the summer (probably around 2 weeks), and I'm thinking about going to Europe... But can't decide where I will go... 🙂

<< Vienna, beautiful city.

Been there once and I will go there again someday.

I thought Vienna was beautiful but wicked expensive, if I had just a couple days depending on the weather it would either be to Florence or to Athens.. I totally loved Greece, what a blast, the people were awesome !!!

lol, well the only "violence" I can recall experiencing in both Italy and Greece was that I ended up being black and blue from getting pinched !!! Seriously, had a wonderous time in both countries but the Greeks really went out of their way to impress me with their warmth and hospitality.

Is Greece considered Europe? If so, I'd go there, always wanted to see the Parthenon, been fascinated with it since I was a kid.

i dont know how Ireland can be depressing. i was there for 2 weeks and it was the highlight of my life thus far.

Anywhere in northern Italy, Southern France, Southern Germany, pretty much all of Spain, Greece (a little out of the way though)....Don't forget Austria and Switzerland.
