like the simpsons halloween special,

and you saw someone that was going to die, and you stopped the time...
would you save that person?

what if saving the person would have consequences? maybe the person dying was a murderer? like the movie frequency. he would have died, but he didnt and murdered more people

Assuming that it didn't create some kind of strange space-time rift, I would become a "superhero" and use the clock for good.

even if the person dying was a mass-murderer? and would end up killing more people?

use it to study for exams and make exams longer hehehe..cuz i'm pretty slow..

or to check out hot chicks 🙂

Stop time, wander around the women's room, clock out. :Q

There's a saying that the measure of a man is what he would do if he could get away with anything.

Stopping time for a long, long ass time for me to catch a breather sounds like a good idea.

so we could still interact with the physical world? I would think we would be out of phase and our actions couldn't alter
the physical realm.but hey I'm no theoretical physicist. But i think given the opportunity i would try and get an extra hrs sleep in the mornings.

I agree.

You're no theoretical physicist. 😀

Everytime you travel through space you travel a little bit less through time. Board a plane, fly around at fast speeds, and when you land you're slightly younger (very very slightly, but slightly none the less.) than people who sat around neffing on ATOT at 0 velocity.

And yet for that loss of time you didn't manage to "disappear" or "phase out" like in star trek. It wouldn't matter how much time you lost either. But you can't stop time altogether, that would require traveling at the speed of light which is impossible for your massful ass. now if you could figure out a way to be massless...Or as small a mass as a particle, to get close to the speed of light, that might be helpful.

But how? You'd have to take all of your thoughts and "download" it into a computer the size of a small particle, not to mention one that can store everything your brain can do.Along with sensory inputs as well. And then you'd have to upload it back to your brain to experience what "the particle computer" experienced.

Maybe someday eh?

I saw this once on Duck Tales a long time ago. I always wish I could stop time. I'd put people in weird positions then unstop time.

haha me2 i remember that episode!!

the three bad ducks had the time slowing machine. it didn't totally stop time..because in relation to the people in real time, they saw the robbers to super duper extremely fast whine in the perspective of the three robbers, everyone was almost at a standstill..

i still refer that episode in my head when i have trouble thinking about moving near the speed of light lol

if by someone you mean hot chic and by save you mean cop a feel then yes, yes i would

I would've stopped you from posting this post.

I probably would just get bored of it after about a week or so. You would get really tired being a superhero and having to walk everywhere.

wasn't there a movie like this? Clockstoppers or something?

And predating that by, oh, 20 years or so was a movie called The Girl, the Gold Watch, and Everything, which was made for tv.

I'd go around like Bart did and put everyone's finger in their nose (or maybe up their butt 😉)

And...I'd find out where Elizabeth Hurley is and....<ahem>...'nuff said

Well then why not stalk the person you saved for awhile, and if he/she attempts to murder, just stop time again.
