Dual Raptors in Raid 0 -- Now that's speed.

Plus it'll leave you enough for a new barton too

P4C 2.4gig retail $170 or you can do the Staples deal for around $150
ABit or Asus 865PE mb $99-$140 depending on what options
2X256 Dual DDR OCZ PC3500 $130
Then sell your other parts and work on the Raptors since they just fly.

That would blow away you current system since that 2.4 will run easily at 3gig. I have 3 now and all do 3gig +.

You could get a 9800np(pro if lucky) and Barton. If you are able to get 2.1 ghz or higher on the setup you have now, I would just grab a 9800pro, and be blown away...

Get a new freaking motherboard, I wouldn't use anything based off the KT400 chipset let alone a Soyo.

Although I really like my Kt400 I would like to try an nvidia but I dont want to change the board out. I was thinking about a
2500 and 9700 aiw. I play some games but I really want a fiery hot multimedia pc. I've also got a Klipsch 4.1. What settings do you guys have your 2500 overclocked to including v-core.

What about a logitech 680 system and a 2800 barton. I've got a klipsch 4.1 but is the hissing problem I've been hearing about
on the logitechs just isolated incidents. I want to get it for a home theater atmosphere.

LOL they're not bad.. just that chipset lacked overclocking capabilities and speed. Bundle and connector positioning couldn't be better :D
