Don't forget you could probably price match one escort agency against another.

If Amex BVG was still around, imagine the possibilities.

Serious though I would get a Fuji Finepix 2600/2650, Nikon Coolpix 2100/2500/3100 or Canon A40/A60/A70.

My favorite pick of course is the Canon A70, 3.2MP, 3x optical zoom, brand new model recently introduced, USB, accepts good 'ole CHEAP CompactFlash media and takes AWESOME pics.

Here are some actual pics taken from a Canon A70:

Hmm, S300 would be nice if I hadn't recently bought this S200. For $300 I would go for an A70. Maybe like a S40 if you can find some more money. I know my co-worker is quite impressed with his S45 as am I.

i would save my money, save more, and get a better one. increase your budget by $200. and by then, you can get a good camera.

Actually... on second thought, if this is gonna be your second camera, minuswell make it good. If it was a first I'd recommend an A70 to get you started or something. But if it's your second, minuswell get something real good.

So yeah, I'd recommend saving up.

Theres no contest quality-wise, Canon blows everything else out of the water, including Olympus, Nikon and whatever else. Have a look an the web for reviews on the multitude of digital camera sites then choose one within your price range. And get a hefty memory card. :)
